Maybe not so much crashing down

General information from the webmaster Since the last update here, a warning we might go off the air in a few weeks, I receive mail from a lot of people telling me they wanted to help or sought a way to preserve the content.
After looking at it from all possible angles I finally decided a few things:
- I will do a reinstall of the site in Joomla, updating all modules where possible
- The partslists will be reloaded
- Most albums will be reloaded
- The useralbums will be reloaded for as far as possible
- All technical stuff will be migrated as well, mostly by hand which is a shitty job but you guys seem so happy with it...
- All user information will be lost, meaning that you cannot access you useralbum, if it is migrated in the first place. When all is done, just send me a msg on...
- The forums! I will put up some forums again! Let's see how long that will work :-)

Some things I am trying to get straight in the proces, feel free to give me hints, tips or rants on:
- The host I am going to install it all on might be slow for most users, anyone can recommend a faster host with full access regarding php, MySQL and inexpensive?
- Google ads, affiliate programs or sponsors?
- should I ask for or accept donations from my visitors?
- Who has some skills and can make me a pretty Joomla template?

Anyway, I hope dusting off this hobby will keep me from loosing sleep over World of Warcraft... send any raves, rants and money to hondaheaven@xs4all.nl and I will guarantee to read it! Unless it is about fake rolexes and enhancing my member, those are filtered.

Grtz,
Keeton

Going down!
Posted by: Keeton on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 - 10:22 AM
General information from the webmaster Many people read this site and it has served many as a first source of information on that silly thing called the World Wide Web.
I started this site in 1999, mostly to cover the gap I found regarding the availability of partslists for the good old Honda singles. Over the next few years it evolved into a CMS called PostNuke and alternative hosting needed to be found. This was eventually offered by Rutger, a Dutch Honda moped owner who selflessly spend time and resourced on the site. If someone is to thank for the last 5 years of actualt Hondaheaven excistance, it is Rutger (HULDE!).
Earlier this year I was offered a partnership to professionalise the site, the hosting and more stuff like that. Real life obligations kinda got in the way and we cancelled that project. Stuff happens and we are over it (and friends again :-).

Why are we going down? The server the website is hosted on is on it's last legs and I don't feel like moving the 2.5Gb in pics and database to another location, not to mention the huge bandwidth it is burning now and then. Now if there was anybody with some idea about hosting and how to finance it, contact me on hondaheaven@xs4all.nl and we will see what is possible.

Honda ST70 1072 6v Wiring diagram req
Posted by: speedgazebo on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - 08:39 AM
Technical information and tips I received the following request, any replies please to info@hondaheaven.org

--------------
Honda ST70 1072 6v Wiring diagram requested.

As per subject, it's for a 6v UK model with an on/off ignition key switch and three position light switch ( off/side/headlight) mounted on the lh headlamp bracket, no indicators or high beam indicator, and a dip/high beam switch on the lh handlebar. the diagrams already posted here are all for different types with different combinations of switches. I would be most grateful if anyone has one of which I could have a copy.

Thanks

Amigodrivers.tk back online via new URL!
Posted by: amigodriver on Monday, August 14, 2006 - 10:05 AM
Forum close ups. I received this story from anonymous:

Amigodrivers.tk forum is back online after it has been hacked by some freaky Turkish hacker.

The URL isn't www.amigodrivers.tk anymore, but now the forum is available surfing to www.amigo-drivers.be! This is for having no DotTK ad's etc. Old users unfortunately need to re-register because the old forum database was hacked to :s!
The forum is also open for new users and there's plenty of space!

See you soon @ Amigo-drivers.be!
