I received the following request, any replies please to info@hondaheaven.org

--------------
Honda ST70 1072 6v Wiring diagram requested.

As per subject, it's for a 6v UK model with an on/off ignition key switch and three position light switch ( off/side/headlight) mounted on the lh headlamp bracket, no indicators or high beam indicator, and a dip/high beam switch on the lh handlebar. the diagrams already posted here are all for different types with different combinations of switches. I would be most grateful if anyone has one of which I could have a copy.

Amigodrivers.tk back online via new URL!

I received this story from anonymous:

Amigodrivers.tk forum is back online after it has been hacked by some freaky Turkish hacker.

The URL isn't www.amigodrivers.tk anymore, but now the forum is available surfing to www.amigo-drivers.be! This is for having no DotTK ad's etc. Old users unfortunately need to re-register because the old forum database was hacked to :s!
The forum is also open for new users and there's plenty of space!

See you soon @ Amigo-drivers.be!

No more forum

The forums are no more, they were targetted too much by bad people trying to take over the server. Now that is not possible thanks to some technical things I dont understand much either but the load was not good for the price I pay for the service in the first place (this site is heavily sponsored by ATTICLAB.NL so we decided to take out the forum.

Maybe I try a diffent forum some day, maybe not. Use this site as a reference untill then, that was what it was meant for anyway ;-)

C90 club map

I receiveed a mail from Sue and Fuzz again, here it is:

Hi All.

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed on the messageboard @ www.cub90.co.uk that a few writers have been mentioning the possibility of a Cub C90 Club.

I asked a while back for Cubbers to identify where they lived , so as to help everyone knew where other Cubbers were...
A few answered , but many DIDNT !!!!

I have added the Cub C90 MAP OF GREAT BRITAIN to my website www.fuzzibitz.8m.com & thanks to the FEW who have joined & put themselves on the map.
If EVERYONE did this , it would make things a LOT easier to arrange possible meets , rides out , etc !!!! ????

Regards .
Fuzz & Sue.

Honda builds an airplane?

Ehm, I dont like planes. Actually, if I had the time to waste on it, I would never fly again but do stuff by Cub, trains, boats, bike and maybe even car.

Honda did hit the mark with the campaign where they feature two engineers on a Cub. Still the jet gets too much airtime, maybe I should start a petition: "More old blokes on a Cub!" but likely that becomes odd soon.

Click here for more info on the jet, the best part is these two pics here. Anyone got better pics of the blokes on the Cub?

Gorilla in CB750 colors

Now look what I found! This is pretty old news anyway, but still nice. A gorilla (monkey) bike painted in the colors of the old, retro kinda CF750 four-cylinder bike.
Now I rode that CB750, it is like sophisticated suicide. All very balanced, easy to handle, friendly... untill you yank the throttle hard.
The CB750 and the CB900 B'ol Dor both had a great biking nature in them. The thrill it gave to dive into a corner not knowing how bad the frame would bend, how worn the tires, suspension and brakes would be. Really exciting at high speeds, really friendly at lower speeds. Oh, a hog to handle at very low speeds, like getting it out of the garage or getting it in first.

Find the link to the honda news here.

Climbing and Honda's?

They dont mix, still nice stuff to read about climbing. Maybe or probably you seen most stuff about Honda's already? Try something different!

Some quotes I stole from another site:

"Mountain climbing is extended periods of intense boredom, interrupted by occasional moments of sheer terror."

"One method of getting loved ones to look more fondly on your climbing is to tell them that since you've started climbing you hardly do drugs anymore." — David Harris.

"Yoga is a system, scientifically proven to boost your climbing ability significantly. Why do you think you always see that Guru figure sitting on the top of the mountain? You think he/she got there by enlightenment ?" — Lg.

"Real Programmers don't play tennis, or any sport that requires you to change clothes. Mountain climbing is OK, and real programmers always wear their climbing boots to work in case a mountain should suddenly spring up in the middle of a machine room." — From Real programmers don't write specs.

"The difference between climbers and normal workers is that climbers are glad of the Mondays, so they can rest." — Guillaume Dargaud

"I think climbers should get credit just for remembering what their jobs are on Mondays." — Gary Clark.

"[Climbing is] more interesting than my other daytime activity, which closely resembles the million monkeys theory applied to software development." — Amanda Tarr.

"Climbing is like a brain enema. It just cleans all the crap out of your head." — Emily.

Supercharging a CD50 engine

Anders submitted this story:

Two years on and still strugling, to get this small single to live with a little pressure.

One- point-three bar, was the first boost reading when opening the throttle at first startup. Way too much I thought, but after several attemps lovering boost, mainly via supercharger gearing, it still reads one- point- two. First season of racing (read testing), were filled with melted center- electrodes, blown head gaskets, holed pistons, and seized superchargers. This year, things have been better because errors were pinpointed, through hours of testing on a rolling- road.

Why does everything look weird? (no it doesnt: update)

UPDATE!
Yay!

About a full working day was spend on it (could have been faster, stupid learning curves) but now almost all articles are displayed properly again. I am having a bit of a fight with some of the indonesian articles, my editor for html doesnt recognise the characters, so will have to do that someplace else.

Anyway, template is next.

-------------==============----------------

Mainly cause I am a lazy git.

Need to rebuild the theme and put in a shitload of quotes around all parameters in the htmltags everywhere on the site.

Lets try an application ad:

Single white male looking for nice guy/gal who has affinity with putting quotes around parameters. Mail me at hondaheaven@xs4all.nl if you feel like helpin out.

----------UPDATE---------------

Working really hard at the moment to add the quotes, some articles are done, some require lot of time. in progress...

My creation LIVES!

After almost two months downtime, the site is up again. Some things I removed, some are more restricted and some personal procedures I changed.
Still a few problems I am working on:
- Most of the stories that are in either the news or the library are based on quite a bit of html code, this code is not processed properly.
- The theme looks crap, will need to rebuild it (like I keep saying for about 6 or 7 months now)
- I did a bit of sloppy configuration on the albums, need to rework that.
- No mailadress, nowhere. Make a new block with contact information.

So if you surf, dont be surprised if some text isnt that readable, themes are changing all the time or you are kicked out alltogether. Then I am working on it.

Now, if you feel like sending me stuff to put on the site, mail it to hondaheaven@xs4all.nl and I will see what I can do.

It is a honda pc50e, top speed is only 28 mph, the valves have never been adjusted, was wondering if the is the top speed or could i get more out of it by adjusting the valves.
Lego begging

Strange to post this here, but one can never know...

I am looking for Lego for my kids, anything goes. Just that I am out of a job, and social security is only just that. The rent, some food, no more. I think I will have work soon enough, but Lego is not on the top of the list as some holes need to filled first.

So if one of my readers happens to have a bunch of Lego you are willing to part with, let me know. Really, anything goes. Just when they can be creative and build with it, that would be great.

I can be contacted at keeton@xs4all.nl for more info.

And not sure how long this will take, hold tight, dont panic and take a beer.

Now that I mention it.... Go outside, the weather is lovely ;-)

By the way, all changes made from this time 17:24 CET, 24th of June 2005 will be lost, due to backupping and upgrading.

------------UPDATE-----------------------
Okee, got almost all working again. I think.

Problems currently still on the site that I can see:
- Forums dont work. Researching that.
- Logging in wont log you into the gallery. Not even me, the admin. Researching that as well.

So what *do* you get? A lot of viewing pleasure.

If you happen to encounter other problems, post them in a comment here. Thank you for your patience...

============More Updates=============
Wow! Got the gallery working again. But when entering it, is messes up the site's menu's.
Well, as all other theme's I tried are crap as well, and this one can do a few things I want, I am keeping it. Patience, grasshopper. I will rewrite the theme somewhere in the coming week (something I have been wanting to do for the last year anyway)...

+++++++ Keeping you informed is fun! ++++++++
Forums back up and running, some currupt file after downloading, so all replaced it and now life is good!
Something nice: I replaced the postnuke message service with the forums message service. Let me know if you have troubles using it or something ;-)

Sometimes...

I sometimes receive mails that puzzle me. So I make a reply to puzzle the sender, just for my own personal enjoyment. This is one of them...

> Donald B. wrote:
>
> Please direct
>
> me to the correct complaint department to state my problem with my Honda. Thank you.

My smartdonkey reply:

Dear Donald,

If you wish to file a complaint about your Honda, you might want to contact you local dealer. This is defo the wrong adress, as I am a dutch hobbyist, maintaining a site about Honda's for other hobbyists.
Besides, Honda makes a lot of things, cars, motorcycles, scooters, robots, engines to propel a boat, generators, lawnmowers and some other things I cant remember. So a complaint about your honda couldnt be more generally described as you did.

Best is to go to the store where you bought your Honda or buy a ticket to Japan, I think Honda's come from Japan. Not sure though.

WTF??? Honda Heaven offline? ***UPDATE***

***UPDATE***
Well, the server line broke again. So we moved it from a server in San Fransisco, California to a server that is located in a big hall at Sloterdijk, The Netherlands. Yes, that is The Netherlands in Europe and to some, the Dutch people are:

- killers of elderly people and get away with it by law.
- dopeheads that smoke pot for breakfast.
- a nation that voted Harry Potter for president.
- wearing wooden shoes all the time.
- very weird for living below sea level.
- very weird in general.

Most of these are true, although I have to say they are not true all the time and most surely not at the same instant in the same person. Imagine the enormous effort it is to wear wooden shoes, vote and smoke pot in the hospital where we are looking for new grannies and gramps to put to sleep.

Anyway, our North American visitors may have a slightly increased respons time due to the site's relocation. It could also be because of the wooden shoe I use as an ashtray for my reefer that is standing in front of the routers cooling fans or because of Harry loosing another Gliddich match and he decided to take out the network admin, although he has only just passed 55.

Anyway, the site is up again for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy it enough to keep coming back and please do tell me how you like my blog-like update. Make a comment of it in this post, that is what it is for :-).

***UPDATE END***

I received quite a few mails asking me where HH went. Well, the line to the server broke and the colocater this machine is standing had some troubles fixing it.

Fixed now and if I understand correctly, the nice people at Atticlabs will move the site to a location that has higher uptime and better accessebility. Seeing the site is almost 2Gb, it *could* take some time, but the site will be up most of the time, you wont even notice :-)

Thank you for your patience and support!
